Sutram Letter is written by a practicing Jyotiṣī. It is not generated, not templated, and not a marketing funnel for a chart app. It is a weekly practice of study, written down.
Where this comes from
I began reading charts in my early twenties, first as a curiosity and then — after a decade with a teacher in the Parāśari tradition — as a discipline. Sutram, the parent practice, is where clients come for full consultations. The Letter is where the teaching itself lives: one lesson a week, in public, so that the framework a good reading rests on is available to anyone who wants it.
What this is
Classical Vedic astrology — Jyotiṣa, literally the science of light — approached the way its texts describe it: as a tool for understanding the phase of life you are in, the direction the current sky is pushing, and the specific timing that supports what you are trying to do. Every lesson cites its source (Bṛhat Parāśara Horā Śāstra, Jaimini Upadeśa Sūtra, Muhūrta Chintāmaṇi, and the standard commentaries). Nothing here is invented. Everything is translated into a language a thoughtful reader can act on.

What this is not
- Not fortune-telling. A chart is a set of tendencies met by free effort. It does not predict specific events.
- Not sun-sign horoscopes. Jyotish uses the sidereal zodiac, nine planets, twenty-seven nakṣatras, and — most importantly — your chart, not a generic one for your Sun sign.
- Not a chatbot horoscope. Readings are computed by our own interpretation engine from your chart; AI is used only to phrase the result, never to invent it.
- Not a remedy shop. The letter names classical remedies where the tradition prescribes them. It does not sell gemstones, yantras, or ceremonies.
